South Island Cross Country :)

On the 23rd June, Fenella, Sam H ,Matthew B,Josh S, Matthew R and Kate D went to South Island cross country. At 8.30 we met each other at school and all went up to Halswell Quarry in Christchurch. When we got there we watched Kate run her race. She did really well to get 27th out of over 100 9 year old girls running as the track was very muddy and wet!.Next Fenella, Sam and Josh had to warm up for their races.As Sam and Josh lined up at the start line they said they felt really nervous. Once Sam ,Josh and Fenella had finished their race,Matthew B and Matthew R started their race. Matthew B was in the lead for a while and then another boy past him. In the end Matthew got 2nd and did really well.When we finished we went to McDonalds for lunch!.
