On Tuesday the first of June Aleisha ,Sam M , Madison and Sam's dad went to Christchurch to the National Young Leaders Day.To start the day off the presenters threw round beach balls and filmed us all. The first speaker was Nick Tuatasi. He told us"Be careful of your thoughts because they become words ,Be careful of your words because they actions Be careful of you actions because they become habits, Be careful of your habits because they become your character Be careful of your character because that becomes your destiny".
Dallas Seymour said "that your friends don't always want you to succeed".Rob Harley said "Never give up". Matt Gibb and Jason Gunn both said that you can get there but your character keeps you there. Aleisha's highlight of the day was when Dallas Seymour spoke and said that your friends don't always want you to succeed. Sam's highlight of the day was getting the chance to listen to all the speakers but the one that was the most inspiring was Nick Tuatasi. Madison's highlight was being picked to go on this leadership course.
I think the Young Leaders Day sounds really fun and interesting. I enjoyed reading what the speakers had said to you all and what a great day you all must have had :) .. and i love your hampster!!
