under 13 basketball nationals!

On the 4th of October I went to the Basketball Nationals in Christchurch for the under 13 girls team! We went to the premierships in Dunedin in July. We made the finals and were playing Nelson. In the end we won the game so that meant we were going to Nationals and also we had won GOLD and we were the best under 13 girls team in the South Island. On the 4th we headed off to the nationals! On the first day we went to the opening ceremony at the Que11 stadium in christchurch. Our first game we played we won against Counties Manakau. When we had won the semi finals we were really excited and nervous for the game the next day. The next morning was the finals and our whole team was so nervous for the 2.30pm game against North Harbour. The first quarter was hard and we were losing 15-8 the 2nd quarter was very close. The hooter went and we had won 78-81 it was the best feelings we had ever had!!! . At the prize giving we got presented with a GOLD medal and a trophy. Three of our team members got into the tornament team. And Sophie in our team got most valuble player in the girls divison for the under 13 girls. In the end we were very proud and also we had made Mid Canterbury history!
